A couple days or weeks back, I had a virtual machine up because I heard of this crazy 0-day threat that could apparently be unbreakable. So after downloading it and running it in the virtual machine.  Nothing happens, (I'm an AVG hall of Famer so I'm used to doing this stuff) and then I go to windows defender, and it says its off... I didn't turn it off.  So I click "turn on" it gives me an error...  Then I check windows Firewall... theres a big red bar saying some alert crap and when I click to switch it on... it gives me an error.  So I'm all suspicious about this. Then suddenly my browser opens! I'm prompted my my admin username and password! So I quickly exit the browser and run a scan with malwarebytes, hitman pro and tons of others.  They all find nothing, except hitman pro which found about 20 threats.  Rootkits, Spyware, Trojans, things needed repair! and I repair them all.  Then out of stress and worry I close the virtual machine and put all the files in the recycle bin.  Afterwards I go to change my router password, after confirming it.  I get prompted for it... then it says I imputed it wrong... so it must have been changed... then I try reset the router.  The same problem happens.  So then I go buying another router because its possible it could have been compromised.  So after buying a TP-link router I use my PC to change the password... the same thing happens.  I thought this was weird because it was on a virtual machine.  So then I try it on my mac and everything works fine. So I have a feeling my pc is infected, I ran scans but nothing was found.  So I might try reinstall, see if that helps. Because I doubt my UEFI could be hacked. Yet then, when I use my mac to change the router password... it works.  I'm asking for help, I hope you can help me, thanks
