Depends on your intended use, but you can't really go wrong with any motherboard (unless you choose an overclockable CPU, but go with a non overclockable supporting motherboard, but then you're straight dumb).

ASUS also have some of their Pro Gaming motherboards that are pretty much the same as the one you've listed, but I think they're a little cheaper.

Best regards, Mikkel

y is it bad? as far as i can tell it has everything i would want

ASRock is Asus's budget division. It's really cheap boards with really cheap parts. When half the newegg reviews are for dead boards, you know to avoid it.

idk

Sure thing:

https://www.amazon.com/LGA1151-Z170-Motherboard-PRO-GAMING/dp/B012NH074G/ref=sr_1_2?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1482452970&sr=1-2&keywords=asus+z170+pro+gaming

And my bad, it's actually a little more than the one you listed :) but it's probably worth seeing it's ASUS

Best regards, Mikkel

Or this, it's only got 2way support but IMO it's a better board and there's a Mail-In-Rebate that knocks off $20

idk

When are you really going to smack in 3 GPU's anyway.

I don't know much about Gigabyte, but it seems fine. As I said, it's hard to fuck up massively with mobos. Look at the features on their respective websites and pick one you'd like is my advice.

What the fucks up with the mindless dissing of asrock boards with no basis?

They have made some of the best boards in the market.

Never seen asus's shit qc?

i5 2400 | ASUS RTX 4090 TUF OC | Seasonic 1200W Prime Gold | WD Green 120gb | WD Blue 1tb | some ram | a random case

Don't listen to such rumors. I have heard that Asrock got some cheap boards and some high end motherboards and my guess is that the z170 extreme series are one of the best. You can do some research about it but if you want to get that MOBO then go for it. Of course you can choose more popular manufacturers such as Msi but that doesn't mean that Asrock sucks.

Yup. My ASRock H97 pro 4 came DOA.  My ASRock Z97 Extreme 4 had a dead CMOS battery and loose heatsinks when I got it. Went in for an Asus Z97 pro gamer board and have no regrets.

I've had great experiences with my current MSI board, but my dad runs a Gigabyte board with a i7 870 and that poor CPU has gone through 6 years of running pretty much every day. Dependable bois

idk
