VGA issues.

I have an old computer (I mean really old, IDE old, which I got cheap) my problem with it is when ever I plug it into a VGA monitor and turn it on it says that it's not supported, any way to fix this or am I fucked?

Your VGA isn't supporting the refresh rate of that monitor or vice versa. Go into safemode and start with a low resolution or VGA mode only. Set it to the lowest hertz and try again. Your other 2 options, is to try a different monitor or a different video card.

can't as the problem appears as the BIOS screen appears so I can't do that

no PCI-E slots so can't get any of my video cards in, and an error message appears on the screen and the cable works with other PCs, and I haven't tried any other screens as I will need to put a large amount of effort into getting it, and I will need it back where it is at some point, probably tomorrow so it's too much effort to try it incase it doesn't work, as it's in an awkward position due to it needing a special power cable which is behind my ATX Server pile

Sometimes that monitor not supported error doesn't mean it's not supported. It could also mean your system is not posting.

that's my worry as the case is bend and I am wondering if it's been damaged and if it's still working encase it's been damaged in transit
