Fans for NZXT H440

So if I were to buy new fans, I'd have to remove the current fans of the Noctis 450?

I'm getting a little confused, so is this the H440 that you guys are discussing? Or does the Noctis already come with fans that I'd have to remove if I were to add in my own.

Wasn't replacing the fans what you had in mind? There are only so many fan mounts.

The H440 and Noctis 450 are essentially the same case internally with a different aesthetic. They come with the same fans.

They are basically the same case, they come with (3 front) that you would remove to put the new ones.

Oh right, just got confused, didn't realise they were essentially the same case. Thanks!

Okay, but would I need the full kit? Or is that kit alright?

it would be all you need.

you can use the cables with the PSU if you need something it doesn't have. (probably not)

So just to make it clear. The H440 and Noctis 450 comes with 3 120mm FN V2 fans in front (intake) and 1 140mm FN V2 in the back (exhuast). On top it has room for 3 more 120mm or 2 240mm fans, they are recommended by NZXT to be exhuast but I'm personally going to do testing when my Kraken X62 turns up to see if exhaust or intake produce better CPU and GPU temps. The FN V2 fans are old and not very good, they can be improved upon greatly, which is what we thought you wanted to do. I'm planning to upgrade the fans in my H440 in the future, but given the temps I'm already getting it's not high on the priority list.

Oh okay, so I don't even need to remove the existing fans? I can just input 3 more 120mm fans and use water cooling also? Or is there only room for either water cooling or 3 120mm fans.

Thanks! Just to reassure myself, is this everything I'll need? (I have a 750W PSU just to future-proof it, and 3200 memory RAM for additional speed)

750W isn't needed at all, 650W would be max.

The psu you picked is from Corsair, but the cables are for EVGA.

3200 RAM would give you about 0 speed, it's just so people pay more for nothing.

And all the required fans are included with the H440/Noctis 450 case and the Kraken X62, no need to buy extra fans unless you plan to replace them. I'm replacing the fans included with my H440, but only when I can get good replacements at a good price because the included fans are ok at their job. Also I wouldn't buy LED fans for the front intake, that's a waste of money.

Oh, okay, was unsure about how much speed it'd give. Thanks for letting me know! This should be perfect then, right? Also, are you sure the cables are correct, considering it states it's for EVGA 750-850, or would it make no difference?

Okay, so I shouldn't purchase the fans until I decide I want to upgrade them, right?

The OP is the one who wants to replace them and wants LED, it has nothing to do with you.

The included fans are not terrible at all, he just wanted to change them.

It's good to know that they aren't bad though, so I know now that I can leave the fans until later on, and that they aren't an immediate concern!

Fixed the cables link.

And yeah 750 is the same to 650.

New components are getting better at wattage usage.

Jahoppski seems a little confused, he wanted to add fans not knowing that fans are included, I am making it clear fans are included.

Only purchase additional fans if you want to upgrade them, no sense in throwing away money and the included FN V2's are OK at keeping case temps low, my Asus GTX 1080 stays cool below 70c even in the hot Aussie summer. Also the Aer P fans included with the Kraken are very good and the ML fans Corsair fans like have only very slightly better specs so they aare about a visual upgrade over the Aer P not a performance upgrade.

Thanks very much! Just out of curiosity, is it worth upgrading the PSU to Platinum efficiency? Or is it not worth the additional fees?

Yeah, I was a bit confused about all of this! Thanks for the information, I'll probably buy new fans but only whenever I have all of the parts I'm looking, and I'm looking to improve aesthetics over anything.
