GPU at full clock in idle.

i recently reinstalled my PC completely to fix the issues with my GPUs wich i thought was a bitcoin miner since it presented itself as such, but since that didnt fix it im wondering what could it be that keeps my GPUs at load even with nothing but apps like Bnet and discord running..

Are you using any overclocking programs, and do you have K-boost enabled?

uhm, all i know is that its running full clock for no reason at all.

i just installed everything, Nvidia experience, avast, Bnet and wow. thats it.

Your driver control panel should have an option that's called power management mode. Try to set that to "adaptive".

i formated the E and D drives several times to make sure any malware would be eradicated, but my main card is still doin this shit

i cant find it, i have 980 SLI from gigabyte, G1 gaming edition.

that did absolutely nothing, and it was set to optimal.

one card is running full work load pretty much while the other one is idling at 100 mhz

single 4k monitor, this has only been going on the last 2 weeks, i nuked all drives today, did a clean install with a brand new USB and fresh software..

the GPUs are almost idling while playing LoL... somethings fucke

Maybe it's because the cause is not malware?

well, what other reason would u suspect? there absolutely no reason for it to do it now after a clean install..

Have you tried other driver versions?

Have you tried not installing the trainwreck that is Geforce Experience?

and OC guru has no effect on the fans, even if i put it on manual

How about don't install OC Guru and use some other program?

Use GPU-Z to monitor actual GPU clockspeeds

ive tried that, they give the same data.
