Hey guys!! Super new to the forum but i figured this would be my best option for the predicament I'm currently in! So im starting school for drafting and design and i need a pc ( first time builder ) but i have about 1100 to spend. My question is should i get a cheap laptop for doing small random things at school and spend the bulk of that money on a desktop, or just get a good laptop. Please keep in mind i do need a laptop because i am a custom fpv drone builder and would like to have one when im out in the field for tuning the qwads!! Any help would be appreciated!!!

Architecture? You're pretty much going to be living in the studio so I recommend a expensive laptop with external hard drive as a backup for when you accidently delete your projects because you were too tired to think straight.

I was a architecture student and switched out because I couldn't take it. I have several friends there, and yeah, I would recommend a laptop because you're pretty much going to be stuck in the studio most of your time there. That or your room will be so full of art supplies that you can't fit a desktop into your room.

If you can pull it off though, I'd do desktop / laptop. It really depends on what your needs will be.
