Will this bezel mod work?

I've decided to get the Redmi Note 4 as my 1st smartphone ever. The thing is, I'll be having to pay an extra 10 MYR for the grey/black version and half the storage space. The silver/white and gold/white are slightly cheaper and come with 64GB (double the grey/black). So, I plan on getting the silver/white version and get a black-bezeled screen protector to cover up the white bezels. The thing is, will any white be shown after I put it on? Will this "cheat" work well? Thanks!

Yeah I imagine it would! Might as well try it out, it's pretty cheap. If you get a case you won't even notice which color you have, so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the case covering up the sides. Well, I guess I'd try this mod out. Thanks!

It will cover the majority of the white though some will peak through on the insides and outsides when you look at an angle. They do look very nice though!

Oh ok. By the way, I've also heard the 2.5D screen on the RN4 has some issues due to being curved around the corners such as the "Halo Effect" when the edges of the screen protector doesn't meet up with anything and there's a tiny gap in between.

If they display has a slight curve to it, the very edges of the protector won't stick properly. This will not be noticeable if you have a bezeled screen protector.

Very true. Do you think THIS screen protector will do? And I assume I'll need a phone cover which goes a little over the edges to cover up the parts that show.
