That depends on the application. For example, Adobe Premier - and any Adobe program - will work far better with CUDA cores than Stream Processors. However, it's the exact opposite when it comes to Sony Vegas.

Keep in mind that 3GB 1060 has less CUDA cores and VRAM, where as 4GB 480 has all the power of its 8GB brother minus the VRAM.

If you don't want to overclock this would be a great build. I don't know if the 212 LED performs different than the evo but I heard its the same cooler with an LED fan slapped on. Might be wrong

For gaming it goes 470 < 1060 3gb < 480 4gb <= 480 8gb < 1060 6gb

It has a better power supply and GPU, as well as a faster SSD and nicer-looking case. Believe me, I have the N300 and that series of cases is junk, and it has no side-panel window. That cooler also has a bright blue LED fan. It also has an overclocking motherboard, so you won't be stuck running your 6600k at stock speeds.

The 6600 non K and 6500 are the same performance. the 100mhz won't do much of anything

That cooler is a waste of money. You won't see any proportionate benefits unless you're going to overclock your CPU, and you can't overclock a Core i5 6500 or with an H110 motherboard.

So it's $23 down the drain unless you really dig the LEDs.

What do you mean you will rarely be overclocking? Saying that you'll rarely be overclocking with an H110 motherboard and a non-K CPU is as stupid saying you're going to be blinded, and you will rarely watch movies.. It isn't possible.

Cheers, but overclocking isn't the only good thing about having a K-CPU and an overclocking motherboard. Keep in mind that hardware that can be overclocked is more futureproof, as it allows you to keep up with newer hardware simply by overclocking. So many people are using their Core i5 2500ks from almost six years ago and are not seeing an immense lapse in performance- they're still good for a lot of stuff.

Due to this, it also drastically improves the resale value of your build. In five years, a Core i5 6500 will be pretty useless. However, if trends continue, a Core i5 6600k will yield similar performance to the 10th-gen equivalent of the Core i5 6500. This is why people pay more for old computers with Core i5 2500ks and Core i7 2600ks in them than they would for builds with Core i5 2400s and Core i7 2600s.
