my motherboard is an ASUS Maximus 8 hero alpha and my case is the nzxt h440. first, the nzxt has only one usb 3.0 cable, can it power 2 usb 3.0 on the top of the case? second, should I plug my water cooling fans on the case fan hub thingy, the cpu_fan connecter or the water_pump connecter on the motherboard. third, what is all the io on the motherboard that I have not mentioned and is it advanced stuff or am I missing something (like cpu_fan 5-pins, bios refresh)? finally, any tips on using the bios because the bios looks like rocket science.

The cable in the case for USB 3.0 powers both USB ports on the top of the case and goes into the USB 3.0 header on the motherboard.

The back I/O has HDMI and DisplayPort, the Wi-Fi adapter ports, dual USB 3.0, 2.0, and a single Type-A and Type-C USB 3.1. Also has multi-channel audio connectors and optical audio. The green/purple is PS2 keyboard/mouse combo. I'm assuming the BIOS reset buttons are just for when you're testing overclocks on different things.

For the AIO, plug the pump into the water_pump and put the fans on the cpu_fan (maybe use a splitter if it's a dual fan rad?)

Id just google "Help with ROG bios" for help with learning the BIOS. Once you get used to it and play around it in you'll get used to it. I'm not sure, but some BIOS's have an "EZ mode" for newbies.

Is the 5-pin fan header the connector for the hub? Or is it like a SATA powered fan hub? I'm going to guess that 3-pin and 4-pin fans would still work on a 5-pin header.
