Hey,

Recently I've experienced problems with my pc shutting down and rebooting. It dosen't happen very often.

I only used my pc for overwatch the last months, so that's when it would occur. Usually it also happen right before a game begins, or right before the next round is about to begin(Which is usually where the computer is stressed most for some reason).

I Reinstalled my OS few days ago, problem still occured

Checked ram today - No errors found in the tools i used.

All cables are plugged perfect in.

Temps are fine, i monitored them for weeks now while playing overwatch. CPU usually sits at about 55c and GPU at about 65.

So today i ran the FurMark stress test, and just about 5 minutes into the test my pc shut down and turned on again instantly. As far as i i know, if the GPU was the problem it won't just shut down like that, and also i never experienced any FPS drops while playing overwatch. Also just noticed once i load overwatch, some kind of coil whine instantly comes on, if i exit overwatch it stops immedately. Definately sounds like it's coming from the PSU(Like it's struggling to provide power..)

I'm pretty sure the PSU is the one to blame, it's a Corsair CX750M about 1,5 years old. What do you guys think?

Well your PSU could be it and the symptoms are similar of a PSU restarting, however the CX750M doesn't suffer from these problems so I don't think that's it.

What are your system specs and OS?

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

I Just can't see any other possibilites - All capacitors on mobo are fine and in good shape, no black liquid on top or anything like that.

Specs:

ASUS Z97-A Mobo

Intel Core i5-4960K

Coolermaster 212 EVO CPU Cooler

Gigabyte Windforce GTX 970

16GB Kingston DDR3 1600Mhz ram

128gb Samsung 830 SSD

500GB WD HDD

OS: Windows 10 64bit

- Never overclocked a single thing in my computer. Also the mobo, cpu and gpu are all bought the same time with the PSU
