So I currently have a Lenovo B590 Laptop. It has Windows 8 Pro DOWNGRADE to Windows 7 Pro rights. What I want to know is if I upgrade to Windows 8.1 Pro will I still retain my downgrade rights. You see I'm a computer technician and I kind of have to stay with the latest OS's and I wanted to upgrade to 8.1Pro but if I can't keep my downgrade rights I see no point. So if someone could please inform me on this that'd be great. Thanks!

I have no product key... It's all encrypted in the BIOS.

If downgrade is done by disc, it doesn't ask for key and so you can downgrade from any OS. That's how it works with my Lenovo. I've reinstalled XP many times with those downgrade CDs.
