S7 vs Pixel

Why? Is it mainly the fluidity of android on the pixel compared to every other phone?

it depends on you what you want, the s7 is a Samsung flagship with good camera, waterproofing and micro sd card slot with a higher res screen in the 5.1 inch model. the pixel is stock android and has no bells and whistle its much smoother then the s7. if you want plug and go for 2 years get the pixel i suggest you do research on it as pixel is 1st gen product and might have some issue. the s7 has lot more features from micro sd card slot to extra camera function.

Wait for the S8 which is just around the corner. You might want the S8 instead but if you don't, the S7 will drop in price which would be better for you if you decide to get the S7 over the Pixel

Yea, I really wish there was one phone that has it all, like iphone is snappy but expensive for higher storage and no customizability and bad screen, pixel and s7 have nice cameras and customizability but s7 touchwize makes it less responsive and pixel has no waterpoofing and since its first gen it has a few small issues. #FirstWorldProblems

Yea well it's cause with my carrier (verizon) the s7, pixel, iphone 7, and moto z are all on sale for 10 dollars a month on device payment and they are all normally around 30. And I'm guessing there will be no trade in deal with the s8 for my droid turbo.

Pixel uses stock android, and has priority with updates from Google (they send a patch every month). even though a lot of publishers named Pixel the best android phone this year, it's not very feature-packed as the s7. i've heard that the s7 has a nougat beta going on if you're interested in that

also if you're looking at the s7 then consider the s7 edge. it has a larger battery, though the edge display is kinda funky to use. but i heard it has good palm rejection.

Was thinking of that but A: don't feel like spending the extra 10 a motnh and B: A case can't cover the sides which I am worried about

there's lots of cases on amazon that protect the s7 edge fairly well. that's just going off the user reviews and pictures though so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yea but I'm fairly clumsy and I just dont see a huge reason for me to spend twice the amount on it.

Personally i would go for the S7 Higher res screen, waterproof and SD card slot. Plus I personally just like the entire glass look more. Also Samsung screens just look great, and even if one does get a more 'fluid' experience on the Pixel, it's still very fast and responsive on the Samsung. The one place where the Samsung will lose out will be on software updates. Someone else suggested waiting for the S8, I know you can spend your life waiting for the next piece of better tech but it might be worth considering.

Samsung's quality control is the same old rubbish... 3 day old S7 Edge and 2 month old S7 of mine have screens with black bars over it when you change brightness, and disappears if you keep it at max. No response from Samsung even though it is as severe as Bendgate for example. Its all over android central forms. Go for Pixel. Quality assurance from Google's end will keep you satisfied. Samsung is still making sub-par phones when it comes to longevity.

Try to make some noise about it off you really want a solution, put it on Twitter and tag Samsung, your carrier, and a bunch of news sites. That'll give them bad press.

Been there done that. Common man's voice doesn't hold much value. If one of the big shot techies jumped on it, I'd guarantee it would be trending
