Hi, I had a question about the i5 6402p. I have one and i have a 144hz monitor, and its running at 60fps for some reason. I couldnt find anywhere what the max 1080p framerate is with the 6402p is anywhere. Does anyone know if the CPU is bottlenecking the refresh rate? Thanks!

The 6402p has a weaker integrated GPU than the 6400 does, but if you're going for 144 FPS (or 60, really), you need a dedicated GPU anyway.

Go into your desktop resolution settings and see what the framerate is set to. It may be locked at 60 FPS.

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.

firstly, check the drivers on the 480 that they are up to date as far as I know your cpu (I have the same one ) should not be bottlenecking the 480 if windows ( which I suspect ) right click the start menu hit control panel go to appearance and personalization , on the left hand side click adjust resolution . click on advanced settings . on the new window that comes up  click the monitor tab below that will be a list of refresh rates that your monitor supports see if you can change the refresh rate here (instructions for windows 10 , 8.1 and maybe 7)
