SSD Not Recognised in BIOS

Tommy59375

Drive in question is a Samsung 850 Pro 256 GB.

Today I plugged a hard drive from an old PC in to my desktop computer.  When I turned the power on my SSD (which was working fine yesterday) suddenly was not recognised by my motherboard.

I tries different SATA/power ports/cables and tried the SSD in another computer but to no avail.  The other two hard drives in my computer are recognised and work perfectly but I can't boot it because the SSD contains Windows.

Is there any hope of getting the data back?

Thanks Guys.

Check if you're using UEFI and not Legacy.

It's set to to UEFI mode only.  Would that affect things?  The other option is "UEFI + Legacy".

I didn't change it and it was working yesterday son may it have changed itself?

Stuff happens sometimes. Try changing them, see if any option makes a difference.

Nope nothing changed.  The SSD is still not recognised but the other drives are.
