1050TI question

So i got this card a few days ago and Surprise it has a DVI-R connector and HDMI connectors and i have a CRT(VGA) monitor. Are there any connectors out there that work with what i have right now or i need to get a new monitor?

Buy a cheap 1080p monitor and you will save enough money from your power bill (vs. CRT) to make a profit.

I could buy one but next month i was looking for a solution that i could use until next month

You'll need a DVI to VGA cable ( or adapter ) - they are pretty easy to find if you look around, but silly expensive for what they are.

depending on your ( or your friends??? ) history of owning graphics cards you might have one lying around.   Some cards used to include them (years ago when people were still converting to DVI).

When i talked with the guy at the IT shop he said that the connector is DVI-R that is DIGITAL signal and the VGA cable is analog signal and they dont work... if not DVI why not HDMI

The do exist, but the digital to analogue conversion is why they are expensive.

This is correct, without an active adapter (~$30-$40US) you will be unable to connect it. Also it is "DVI-D Dual Link" not "DVI-R" There is about 6 or 7 types of DVI, if you get an adapter make sure it is an ACTIVE adapter from "DVI-D" or "DVI-D Dual Link" to VGA
