SSD for boot for windows?

Should I buy an SSD for my windows 10 boot drive? And are SSD's more reliable? If so which brand can you recommend that has a 50$ SSD that is reliable

Adata SP550 is good, but if you can afford a little more the MX300 generally gives you more space.

Definitely worth it. I'd never buy a computer without one. Though, I'd never buy a computer with an HDD at all.

They're reliable as long as you're not doing something with crazy writes.

a ssd is a must for most builds

1. - Yes - They really speed up SOME operations, like boot times and programme load up times.  they wont make programmes run faster though.  But you will really notice the things they do speed up, and you will never go back once you got one.

2. - Yes - But like everything "it depends" is the more correct answer.    You need a modern SSD with a modern OS and then they are more reliable than HDD in most circumstances (under 5 years).   Older SSD's tended to have limited lifespans, sometimes caused by the way the operating systems used and wrote data.   thats all history now.

they are ~x5 faster than hard drives, they use less power and are shock proof.
