SLI 970 or 1060

Okay so im looking to build my wife a pc, and i know 970 is a very good reliable card but out of curiosity what would be better 2 970s sli or 2 1060s sli?

you can't SLI 1060s

so 970 SLI would be better

A lot of games don't support multi-GPU configurations, so I would recommend the GTX 1060. However, if you're considering buying new GTX 970s - which is a very bad idea - then you can probably afford a single GTX 1070 instead.
