Noctua 200mm fans in 2017 Q1

For anybody about to buy some 200mm fans i just got an email back from noctua support asking if/ when 200mm fans will ever be released and he replied with " thank you very much for contacting Noctua!
I'm happy to tell you, that we will release the 200mm fan in Q1 / 2017. So it's going to be there soon. :-)".
I tried googling to see if there was any other news on their release dates and as far as i can see this is the first they have given an answer. So hold onto your hats!


I would of posted this in the "news and reviews" section but i don't really have any sources other than this email.

Boy I hope so. I am tired of my sh1tty stock 200's.

Instructions for frustration management:  

1) Sit at desk.   2) Repeatedly slam forehead against desk.

Hopefully no one kills me for bumping this, but it didn't make sense to me to create a new thread.

 

I was just looking into this and a recent tweet from Noctua put the release at late April or early May. So that puts the release in Q2 now.

Eh, I tweeted them the same question in September, with their response being "Hopefully towards the end of the year!" I'm not holding my breath.

If they would give a concrete date, and work their @$$es off and put more people on that project to meet that date, it would be appreciated. Other size (80mm, 120mm, 140mm) fans can wait as they have great products out there already.

I reached out again, and they responded right away: "Production should start in a few weeks now! We hope to release it shortly before or shortly after summer."
