$750 - $900 Planning Build

Hi, so my buddy is planning a $750 - $900 before tax build (we are in Canada so only ca.pcpartpicker.com links). He already picked up a GTX 980 for $300, and asked me what to buy for the rest (IDK what to tell him to get [just finshed my 5th build] so i am asking for help).
