Second hand i7 920

Hey guys! I've found a second hand i7 920, the guys wants 30 euros for it. Would it be worth buying it and use it? (gotta get compatible mobo and RAM as well though.)

Depends, check first if you can get mobo and ram for a nice price. Usually a good motherboard is the most difficult to get.

And get an idea what you want to do with it, it would be sad to spent money on something you won't use.

i7 920 is crap compared to an X5650 or X5675 that you can get for 1366. Because the Xeons perform so well for so cheap most 1366 boards still go for over $100.

For 30EUR it's pretty good. They use DDR3 RAM so it shouldn't be too hard to find RAM for. The motherboard is the real problem.
