Okay so here's a weird one, I was having a problem where everything electronic in the house was buzzing/arcing sounding. This problem goes away at night past 1 am. Turns out this problem occurs when a certain shop in the building opens and goes away when it closes. What kind of interference/high usage could this be? And is there any risks when using electronics with this buzz? Can I protect my devices somehow? Thanks for your time.

From past experience UPS can introduce a weird load on a generator.

My best guess for a shop however would be welders. massive load on the local grid, and they tend to deliver weird feedback because of the unstable resistance.

Poor earthing and interference from the high frequency flouresent lights. You need expensive equipment to see that waveform on your power supply but you PSU should be able to filter and smooth the signal

As far as protecting your devices, I'd either recommend a power conditioner, or a high quality PSU. Modern PSU's can smooth out a poor power signal.

So something like this shouldn't harm let's say my PC? I actually forgot to mention it was just a shop that sells clothes. I actually bought a really expensive voltage stabilizer and it didn't help with the buzzing. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Everything works normally, it just buzzes and this really makes me uneasy. The buzzing sound actually appears when using headphones connected to the computer which makes me think the computer is not receiving clean power.

Power conditioner will smooth out a poor signal. They're different from a voltage stabiliser which sorry for my french do F all. The digital power supplys tend to do it well. I use a slightly psychotic AXi1500 and am in a similar situation to yours. My brothers power supply looks like a sine wave. mine looks like an ironing board.

Interesting, Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge sir.
