Gsync vsync help ?!*+$>{€\

jjohnthedon1

Hey guys, so I'm getting tearing with gsync on and vsync off I'm capped at 142 hz in overwatch and 60 in skyrim.

there is visable tearing

if I turn vsync on in the controll panle it goes away

but does this introduce lagg ??

and why is gsync not working propoerly

iv read on a lot of sights u need v and g sync on in the controll panel and off in game

mid that right ?

Gsync is defiantly on because it's on in controll panel and in my monitor menu it's on and if I turn it completely off the tearing is conciderably worse

just wondering if someone could tell what's going on with nvdia and gsync

it used to be that 30 to 144hz was gsync, with vsync off U could go over and gsync would take over worying thoes peramiters

and v on it would stop at 144hz

but now I have no clue what's going on because I get tearing in between 30 and 144hz

Vsync in controllpanel = off.

Make sure Gsync is enabled in the controll panel and the monitor itself.

Gsync is always working here regardless of what the Vsync option is...both in games and control panel doesn't matter Gsync is working all the time no tearing what so ever.

Sure its tearing? Can you post a picture of it? Gsync eliminates tearing to 100%.

I can't because it's too fast but I can see it for sure

apparently the new driver U have to have vsync on aswell because there trying something new with the fast sync and gsync that's not working right yet even tho fast sync isn't an option

Forget fast sync. Turn everything but Gsync off. You dont need any of that.

Dont know. Try without it. Did the Monitor (Gsync) worked before?

You're tearing because you're exceeding your monitor's refresh rate. With G-Sync enabled, leave V-Sync in the control panel enabled. That means V-Sync will only turn on when the refresh rate is exceeded.

As for input lag, it will be marginally increased. If you don't like it, live with the tearing.

My monitor is 144hz and I get tearing at 60 fps and capped at 142 fps

I hope so ;) haha I haven't had any issues yet but it's only been 6 months or so at that speed. I figure by the time it shows problems it'll be getting old anyhow.

Gaming temps are in the 50's and stress tests around 70°c.

gsync only works in a specific refresh rate range and only on specific connections. Check your monitors manual.

I didn't say you were stupid. You may want to adjust your tone, given you're the one asking for help, no?

If you're tearing below that, then G-SYNC isn't active. You can verify this by enabling the G-SYNC indicator in the control panel.

Strange. Sounds like a driver issue, unless what you're seeing isn't tearing.

Have you tried with 1 card?
