I'm looking for some way to measure my water temperature.

Till now I was using something from kitchen, and unscrewed one of the plugs on my resorvair top and put it in the water.

But that can't be used for 24/7 or even on daily basis.

I saw that: http://www.thewatercoolingshop.co.uk/aquacomputer-temperature-sensor-internal-external-thread-g1-4-for-aquaero-aquastream-xt-and-aquaduct-71160.html

But I'm using my resorvair with additional top, and that won't work for me.

I need something that will work like a plug, but will have some small wire or some piece of metal to hang down so it will touch the water and measure water temperature.

So, does anyone know where I can get something like that?

I could buy that on uper link, but would need to disesamble my loop again, so I'm looking for easier solution.

And another question: would there be a problem if that wire/metal thingy would touch the water? Corosion and all that. Right now I'm using all EKWB parts so only copper and nickel is touching the water, and those 2 should be fine. Not sure what kind of metal are those sensors using.

You will require either a T probe connection built into your motherboard so you can take readings or have an LCD type readout for temp probes. As for a solution that doesn't require you to dip into the loop, you can get a film thermistor and bond/tape that to a water channel in your rads I have something like that currently at the front intake rad to get approx water and intake temps.

Do you have any picture how do you have that installed?

You just put that orange thingy on raditator or between fins?

I don't have a photo of it but  I took a piece of soft foam and have it sandwiched between a fin and one of the water channels to get good contact.

From ebay you can buy water cooling thermometer kit just under $5. Comes with small LCD, molex power cable, a film thermistor.  For $10 you can get same kit that comes with thermoprobe that you can put between a hose connection with included barb fittings or you can change fittings to your liking (G1/4 threads)
