So recently I need to get a new DAW before Christmas begins because I feel I am getting limited by tracktion 5.I have tried a ton of demos but I haven't found one I like yet.I do not plan to use a MIDI keyboard.I like the way Ableton Live 9 let's you draw notes so easily and how organized it is  but I like FL studios layout better,is there any program that has both of those feture and preferably under 200CAD

I use a cheap ass one, Mixcraft 6 (its like $70), wouldn't recommend it if your serious I just use it to screw around and its only good if you have 3rd party instruments/VST. I use Native Instruments; Massive, Maschine, and their free VSTs.

What seems to hold you back? in terms of functionality.

it shouldn't be, should be drag and drop, you can use presets or make your own sound and create a MIDI clip (mixcraft you can just draw them and same with Abelton)

Check out SONAR Steam Edition. If it isn't apparent, you can find it on Steam. It's on sale almost all the time, and was about half off during the 2016 Autumn sale. You should be able to get it for the same price or less once the winter sale starts.
