Ethernet problem?

So my friend visited me and we hooked up his pc to the same Ethernet switch as my pc and his pc did internet related stuff faster. My pc is by far more superior to his, w broth hook up the Ethernet cable into our mobos because neither of us have an Ethernet card thing. We have the same brand of motherboard (asus) but mine is better than his as far as I know.

 

what could be causing this problem?

what could be causing this problem?

 Network tasks or internet tasks? Maybe the router was prioritizing his tasks over yours for whateve reason.

Routers prioritize data flow based on user defined settings (if they've been set), and then by the demands of the systems. It's possible that his system puts more demand on the network.
