Virus/Trojan Problem?

nielpedro

Good day,

my pc is acting crazy now, i just got this pc, its only probably 3 weeks old,

haven't downloaded anything but steam and all of my games, but here is the problem.

everytime i use any web browser, facebook and google doesn't work. yahoo and youtube works just fine, and so do other websites.

but not these two. another problem, steam is also not connecting. then after waiting for a long period of time, steam, google, and facebook will start to work again,

and then they will stop. and work again. another problem is when i hook up a external harddrive or a USB, it will appear, after that,

i would open the usb, then inside would be a shortcut of the usb, and when you click it again, an error comes out that states

"RUN DLL Error in~(insert random letters that changes when i restart the computer).FAT Missing Entry:crys. please help me,

i really don't know what to do, i think its a virus or something. i really appreciate all of your help :)

Have you ran any anti-virus scans? "Microsoft Security Essential" and "Malwarebytes Anti-Malware" are my favourite free options

Do you see 2x dwm.exe in your task bar?

DWM is the Desktop Windows Management, this is the GUI engine of Windows Vista and up. Id you see 2x, than one of them is the culprit. If you see one, than your A/V (assuming it's not Microsoft Security essential) market it as a false positive.

What A/V are you using?

Anyway the thing with virus/malware/etc.. once you are infected.. the damage to the system is done. your A/V can remove it.. but damage done can most of teh time, not be repaired. System will act all normal and not infect other systems. But, for a fully properly function Windows, format and re-install. Befroe you do this, I would scan all your backups, to find where that virus comes from.

1. Obtain .ISO of windows, you can download them here: http://www.w7forums.com/official-win...ds-t12325.html

2. Use Rufus to burn it to a usb flash drive (minimum 4gb) download here: http://rufus.akeo.ie/

3. Set your boot priority to the usb in your bios and you will be able to install windows right off the usb :)

export PS1='\[\033[1;30m\]┌╼ \[\033[1;32m\]\u@\h\[\033[1;30m\] ╾╼ \[\033[0;34m\]\w\[\033[0;36m\]\n\[\033[1;30m\]└╼ \[\033[1;37m\]'

Instead of using Rufus, you can use Microsoft free official tool, which is easier to use, and probably configure your USB flash drive for Windows.

http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msstore/html/pbPage.Help_Win7_usbdvd_dwnTool

so i will be able to do it with these build?

Motherboard:gigabyte ga-z77mx-d3h

processor: Intel Core i5 3470 ivy bridge

Video card: Nvidia GTX 650

Ram: 4gb ram (kingston one but i don't know the details)

power supply: 500w (it came with the case)

sorry with all the questions and thanks in advance.
