Acer X34 Whine when the display tries to Sleep?

bsodmike

Hi all,

I've got a relatively brand new X34, purchased it in mid-August.  Whenever the monitor tries to sleep, if the speaker volume is high (i.e. audio runs through the display) as it shuts off, there's a high-pitched whine or shriek as it does that.

Apart from that, mine runs fine at 100 Hz.

Anyone else had this issue?

TIA.

Could be coil whine? try it with audio running through your PC and with it at 60Hz. If you still get it, its probably coil whine.

The panel is sad because it ended up in an Acer monitor. You just need to comfort it a bit. JK.
Actually I have never heard of this before, is it only when the speaker volume is set high?
