pc freezes

Hello,

I recenty bought myself a asus gtx 1070 strix oc. and now every time i start up my pc and i try to open chrome for the first time, my pc completly freezes.

Does anyone no why and maybe how to fix this?

 

specs of my pc:

gpu : ASUS GTX 1070 strix OC

mobo: MSI B85-G43 GAMING

cpu: intel core i5-4460

RAM: 8 GB corsair vengeance DDR3

I had the same issue with LOL and steam on win 8/8.1, and when i updated to win 10 it stooped happening.

i allready tried this even re-installing windows

allright, maybe is should consider updating to 10 then
