Slow SSD

So then,

I have a 240gb SSD (I think it's Corsair) and I am getting VERY slow write speeds.

At some points, it has got as low as 64.4 kb when copying files.

Any tips on how to fix?

it will degrade over time. How old is that SSD? If you continually write new data over and over and over to it, it will degrade faster.

The SSD is about 1 year old

If the SSD usage is nearing capacity, it can affect performance.

 

Also if you're transferring lots of small files, that also kills performance.

Ah ok. The SSD still has 54.8 gb left, but I have been constantly downloading and deleting steam games
