hey, guys. so I installed ubuntu mate on a really old laptop, and give Linux the first try. I still had it so I can boot into windows, just in case. well, when I boot into ubuntu mate and try to open firefox, it just says connecting for awhile, and just fails. but, when I boot into windows it works, my main PC and other devices work on wifi, too. another thing I realized is that for some reason if I use my phones hotspot the internet works, but I'm low on data so I can't really use it. does anyone have an idea how to fix this? thanks.

TLDR: Ubuntu mate connection doesn't work on my main wifi, while it works on windows on the same PC and other devices work on my wifi. though, my phones wifi works for ubuntu. fix?

thanks!

I haven't had this exact issue so I can't necessarily help, however I'd suggest booting into Ubuntu, logging onto the freenode IRC server and joining the #ubuntu channel, they can help you there.

My procrastination is the bane of my existence.

I make games and stuff in my spare time.
