Office PC

hotcoolfool11

Hello guys,

I've gathered the parts for my Office PC for day-to-day use on Microsoft Office and Browsing.

I just would like to know if everthing seems like it would work.

If it's only for browsing and Office, you can go with a i3 6100. Depending on your needs, you can go with a H110 Chipset. Also, I'd recommend an SSD, if you haven't choose one yet.

I'm not sure if you've picked storage yet, but I'd get an SSD if possible. Go with some cheaper RAM as well. You can also go with an H110 mobo and it'll perform the same.

BOINC Setup:
i5 7200U @ Stock

Core2Duo T6600 @ Stock

i3 2330M @ Stock

i5 3210M @ Stock

It would work but I suggest getting a i3-6100, cheapest H110 motherboard, cheapest stick of 8GB RAM, cheapest 240/256GB SSD and maybe a smaller case.

Not must, but that CPU will do office and browsing all day and it's cheaper than an I3 by a good margin.  If you ever think you will game or do any graphically challenging computing then get the i3, it's worth the money.  But if you REALLY just intend to do office and browse, the pentium is better spent $$$.

I forgot of the Pentium, for basic tasks, it's better to go with it instead of the i3 6100, it's half of the price!
