Strange internet problem

Go to solution Solved by paddy-stone,

No problem.. it's not a fix as such but at least you might get pointed in the right direction now with the google DNS working for you :)

[edit] I'm not sure about lithuania, but most european countries ISPs AFAIK use shared IP addresses and from different locations, for instance when I'm not using my VPN I can get IP addresses that say I'm from all the way across to the west of the UK.. and if I reboot I can get an IP that says I'm all the way to the easy or in London etc... this is just the localised server the ISP is using to connect you to the network. Not an actual IP address of where you live, but the WAN server if you like. I'm not an expert, and that is just my laymens knowledge of it as I see it, so please don't take offense if it was technically incorrect... but I won't mind being put right if it's incorrect too :)

Ok so i get this problem. Basically my internet shows that im from another country, for example, i restart my router and my IP always changes. So for example my IP is now 90.134.167.237 . Im in teamspeak now and it says that im from Netherlands, but when i put my IP on ip-tracker.org it says country - Lithuania. Same thing happens in game osu!, it says that im from Sweden or from Russia, but when i put my ip into ip-tracker it says from Lithuania (Im living in Lithuania). Yeah, and i also get ads in my browser from Sweden, Netherlands, or Russia. Sorry for my bad english, and please, help me ;D Thanks.

Not going to say you should post the traceroute info (don't) but from what you have described , sounds like a DNS issue . Some ISP's opperate across a wide range of countries so it would be worth pinging their teir 3 support chain to adress getting you a static ip etc.

Hmm weird indeed. Try switching the DNS servers to googles it's 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.
