120gb ssd + 500gb hdd or 480gb ssd?

Holla yall,

What would be better:

WD Black 2.5" 500gb + PNY 120gb SSD

or

Sandisk Ultra II 480gb (£85)/Extreme Pro 480gb (£90)

as the only storage in my pc

Note: CiT Barricade only supports 2.5" drives.

Depends on how much you gonna put in the SSD. 480gb seems nice but kinda limited. 1TB and up is always better.

If you go the other route, you're only getting 120gb more, and the vast majority of your storage would be slow. So an SSD is the best bang for your buck

I've managed decently with a 120gb macbook air + a few sd cards but it is VERY limiting.

I expect I won't exceed 500GB quickly though so i guess the ssd would be the best option.

mx300 is pretty a sweet value have you checked that?

480gb SSD because they last longer than 120GB do and you can also have more games on an SSD , helps a lot for SP games , little less for MP games.
