Hi, I Have 2 editing computers each with 4TB of storage.

the part list is here is you want it: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/HmFpr7

Anyway, the question is, is that I quite often want files from the other computer, and transferring via thumb drive is rather slow. is there a solution to this that doesn't involve a NAS? The files in question are 1-10GB in size.

Cheers

They are school computers and my school limits network usage.. is there any other solutions?

That makes no sense. I get limiting outside access, but you could literally run an ethernet cable between the two and it would work (I know, crossover cables are a thing)

Your motherboard has a USB type c port. You can either get a thumb drive or SSD that plugged into that port. There is a SanDisk thumb drive that claims it can hit 150MB/s read and 60MB/s write. Which is pretty fast.

Only solution I can think of if networking can't work.
