Go to solution Solved by hotcoolfool11,

I found the problem. Corsair link, i closed it and ran a game and it worked! thanks guys!

Hi guys,

My New MSI 1080 SeaHawk X has a problem. I've had it for over 2-3 weeks and now im seeing that while going into a game or while playing a game my fan on my radiator just stops?

I find its really wierd becuse its never done that before, it started today.

All my other fans works perfectly.

I had a stock corsair case fan before i got the 1080 and it also worked fine.

Any solution will be great!

Thanks

Maybe it's designed to run fanless when at a certain temperature, maybe check the fan curve? Another option (more likely) is that the fan cable isn't plugged in correctly, check that.

Quote me to see my reply!

careful please check to see if your rad is failing. it can cause serious issue.

I don't think thats the problem. The fan has a connector on its own. The radiator doesnt have a connector. its just connected to the GPU.

Check GPU temps when the fans stop spinning

I have its reaches 60 to 70 and that not normal. Always around 40 to 50.

yes.

Put a system Fan in the place and test the temps(60-70 is safe for a 1080 it's just weird because the card is watercooled)
