Nope, don't have either. I know I have to purchase something which is why I said cheap, I don't really know what to look for because there are multiple things (extenders, access points, etc.) which is why I've come here to ask.

Search for range extenders that using powerline(make sure it supports MIMO) to connect to your router instead the ones that connect through wifi to your main AP(/router). With powrline your speed will depend on the wiring inside the wall.

I you want a wireless solution, check out the Securifi Almond. They are fabulous, featuring little touchscreens and extender mode. Mine blew up (literally, magic smoke) and they offered to replace it for me, even though the device was 2.5 years out of warranty! I've never had an issue with mine, before I killed it (which was my fault, btw)
