Need help with building first gaming Pc

I received a Asus z-170 motherboard and need help with the rest of the parts to build my first gaming Pc. Not sure if I should get a i5-i7 setup. I would like to stream with as well as make YouTube vids. So please give me advice I hoping to get some stuff for Christmas but need to know what parts to ask for. Thanks in Advance.

Did you purchase the motherboard before the CPU? Usually you buy all the parts at once in case of any last minute changes/deals or if you change your mind.

for what your doing i would go for the i7 as long if you dont have to make any compromises with the i7

No my buddy gave me motherboard brand new in the box. He decided to do something different.
