Screen pixelated then lost image

Hey guys,

Yesterday i woke my computer up after being away from it for a few hours and when i pressed enter both screens pixelated and then went black and lost the input detection. I rebooted multiple times, tried plugging directly into the mobo hdmi port and still cant detect any input. Do you guys think its mobo, gpu, cpu?

It wouldn't be the CPU. The way you say it, it sounds like the screen is dying...

 

Can you try the screen with a different machine?

Did you plug the cables into your GPU and not the motherboard? What is your GPU, CPU, mobo and monitor?

check if all the psu cables are plugged in correctly,if the computer turns on when you press the power button,then its probably a monitor problem...

probably the monitor. or a cable? but sinds its on both monitors i think both of these options are out of the question. try using your intergrated graphics if you have them. if this works you gpu might be broken

I have 2 monitors so ive tried each monitor, each cable, and ive plugged directly into the motherboard hdmi port and still have no input. when i boot the pc the keyboard and the mouse do not light up. the monitors are good i tested my ps4 on both.

Mobo Asus Z97 AR

Cpu i7 4790k

Gpu AMD r9 270

Build is approx 2 years old

So i unplugged my grpahics card completely, and tried hdmi from the mobo/cpu to the monitor and everything works. as soon as i plug in the graphics card and turn it on, i get the no input and my keyboard and mouse dont light up.
