Hello guys i want to buy a monitor for My retina MacBook Pro 13", the screen is to small for programing sometimes i want to use to Programs at the same time and i have to alt/tab a lot and its a pain in the ass!

I like a lot ultrawide screen But they are a little Bit expensive.

My question is if is There any  good cheap ultrawide monitor! Or Should I get dual monitors setup?

And ofcourse can the mbp handle nicely dual monitor, whats the best resolution possible That I could get?

My budget is around 300/400$

Thank you guys!!!

If dual monitor around 24" if not give me your suggestion, Yeah ips would be ideal! Refresh rate im not sure! Is 144hz a diference maker?

i dont know ips monitors with 144hz refresh rate that would fit in your budget... for productivity i would suggest 60Hz

if your MacBook can do 4K then as a fellow coder maybe you should look at the ASUS PB287Q 28" 4K/UHD.  It is just under $400US on Amazon and can be flipped to a Portrait setup ideal for coding.

Here are a few pics for comparison next to my MAcBook Pro
