trying to put together a build roughly $800. Going over a bit is fine. I'm taking any recommendations to the build doesn't have to keep with the black/red scheme. Trying to get the best bang for my buck.

Thank you!

Thank you!

You can get a 120 GB SSD for OS and a WD 1TB for miscellaneous instead of going for a 250 GB EVO unless you plan upgrading down the line. Otherwise, I have nothing else to say honestly.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

There are some great recommendations above. However, I would say it depends upon what you plan on doing with this computer. What kind of monitor do you have and what games and graphic settings do you want in those games?

If high/ultra  settings in most games at 1080p. Then the build with 6600k and gtx 1060. If medium/high and maybe ultra in some games at 1080p....then the build with the Rx 470.

CPU: Ryzen 7 2700x cooled by Pure Rock Slim // RAM: Gskill Flare X 3200mhz CL14 2x16 32GB// GPU: Powercolor Red Devil RX 6650 XT 8GB// Motherboard: ASRock B450m Pro 4 // PSU: Seasonic G550 Gold 80+ // Storage: 4TB pcie nvme game drive, 512 GB m.2 sata3 OS Drive, 4 TB WD Red HDD // Monitor: Samsung S22D300 21.5" 1080p 60Hz, MSI 27" 1080p 144hz Freesync 1ms display // Peripherals:  Logitech fancy shmancy keyboard and moise with rgb and gaminess stuff, very fancy | Kingston HyperX Cloud Core headset

If you're also using it for productivity and not just gaming, you could go with an i7.

Storage: SK hynix SL308 2.5" 250GB Solid State Drive  ($59.99 @ Newegg)

^If you want Red/Black SSD, get the PNY CS1311 - costs ~$5 more and has 10GB less storage.
Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1060 6GB 6GB WINDFORCE OC 6G Video Card  ($249.99 @ Jet)
