BUT!  What would you guys reccomend, the RX 480 8gb or the GTX 1060 GB?  (Which one is better?)

1060 is marginally faster in most tasks, including gaming.

only the g1, not with others

Yeah but he/she said direct AMD equivalent so I gave them the exact AMD equivalent and said don't get it because of that video.  Not knocking other 480s, just that one, because the video was on just that one, no other 480s.

Can someone give me the direct AMD equivalent of this card. Also, if you want extra points (or a "thumbs up"), what are the AMD equivalents of the GTX 1050, 1060, 1070 and 1080.

1050: RX 460

1060: RX 480

1070: Fury X (an overclocked Fury performs similar to a stock 1070)

1080: None really. The R9 295X2 sits right in between the 1070 and 1080.

Oh and then there's the 390X2. Not sure how that performs but probably close to the 1080.

Just saying to the OP, keep in mind AMD has better DX12, and Vulkan Support than Nvidia... choose wisely.

May I ask why you aren't going with nvidia

I am, I was just wondering what AMD has to offer, but I am still sticking with nvidia.

Ok, Thanks!

It's pretty close either way so you may as well buy whichever is cheaper.
