I currently have a 2560 X 1080 34" Ultrawide, and a spare 27" 1080p I never used. I don't want to spend a thousand dollars on a 3440x1440 monitor or get triple 1080. I'm making a new build soon, so I'm wondering if I can run games at 6400 (2560+1920+1920) X 1080 if I buy another 27" 1080p monitor. I've seen some Reddit threads that talk about people with similar setups. Anyone here have  a setup like this? A lot of people say Eyefinity allows you to do it easily by just setting it up as all three monitors is actually one massive 6400x1080 panel. Is that true? People say NVIDIA surround requires identical res monitors.

Here are some links I've read. Very interesting.

Considering this build. Trying to stay under $800. Found some prices at eBay and MicroCenter. SSD isn't necessity for me, I'm find with HDD. Any opinions?

That's about 83% of the pixels as 4k. So expect 83% of the frames as a game would run in 4k. Of couse there are other factors but I think they shouldn't affect the number too much. They are all the same height so I imagine that you should be able to get them recognized as one monitor or play games across all 3. But AMD will have the best support for it

why a 390 over a cheaper 480?

For VRAM's sake. The cheapest 390 8gb is almost $40 cheaper than the cheapest 480 8gb I could find. If I found a good deal on a 390X or a 290X I'd take either of those over a 480 for the price cause they are more powerful cards (although their power draw is high).

I would personally save up more money though and wait for a 490, which will have a way better chance of actually running games at this resolution.

Is that even going to be a thing? And when is that releasing? If it's in 2017 I'd prefer to have my build before or around Christmas time

Probably can't run most newer games at that res, but eyefinity is really easy to set up.

Its possible, but that graphics card will struggle on many games at that resolution even at low settings.

One thing of note, I'm not planning on playing Triple A titles and stuff like that. I play casual games, eSports games, and some other easier games. I like stuff like...

TF2, CSGO, H1Z1, Rocket League, Payday 2, Indie Games, GTAV, Smite, LoL, Warface, Armored Warfare, Dirty Bomb, Paladins, Call of Duty, Left 4 Dead, older ARMA games, Minecraft, maybe I'll get into Overwatch and Battlefield, and other stuff like that. I don't play anything like Witcher or Crysis. And considering Linus used something like a 285 Compact to play TF2, CSGO, and WoW at 4K and got over 60 FPS on max settings on all of them, I'm pretty sure a 390(X)/290(X)/480 can play those with ease.
