So here is my final build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/ZCTqPs

Obviously, I'm missing a CPU cooler.

Thanks to help from various people on here, I've narrowed down my choices between the Noctua DH-15 and Cryorig R1 Ultimate.

As as you can see, I'm going for a red/black theme. The Noctua DH-15 will definitely mess up the look so I may end up going for the R1 Ultimate in the end. The only thing that concerns me between the DH-15 and R1 Ultimate is the noise level. Is there a major difference between the two?

I also have 2 questions:

1) I know that I may have to move the second fan up a little for RAM clearance but just wanna make sure if my case will allow me to and if I'll still be able to close the side panel windows?

2) I'm on a ASUS Z170 Pro Gaming AURA mobo and was wondering if the R1 Ultimate will block my first PCI-E slot if I have a MSI GTX1070 Gaming X? I need for it to not block the first slot because my first PCI-E slot is the only slot which supports full x16 for a single GPU config.

The Z170 has the first PCIE x16 slot on the second "slot?"

The enthoo pro should be able to fit any larger air cooler with no issue, however the R1 is a bit taller than the D15

I'd personally recommend the D15, it's super silents and keeps your CPU really cool. I have no experience witht he R1 but i think it should be similar

Have you considered the Bequiet Dark Rock pro 3?

No I meant that my first PCIE slot supports full x16 for a single GPU which is what I want to use. The mobo even says that if your using a single GPU, you should put it in the first PCIE slot for best performance. The second PCIE slot below it is still 16x but in a 8x/8x configuration.

And the dark rock pro 3 isn't as good of a cooler compared to the R1 Ultimate and DH-15 which is why I stayed away from it.

DH 15 is much quieter but sure I would get it for aesthetic (DH15 is no 4 from top if you are lost and Ultimate is below Universal)

Aw dang, it is much quieter. This is going to make my decision even tougher.

Air coolers at the high-end don't change much in temp, so look for something quiet.

Yeah the first 16x slot is in the second "slot" not the first, which makes it compatible with big air coolers. the dark rock pro 3 looks nice and also is rather silent, which makes it a good alternative

I'm confused lol. The mobo manual says the first PCIE slot (PCIEX16_1) is full x16 and should be used with a single GPU. So I'm not sure that you mean by stating it's the second slot (PCIEX16_2) which is 8x/8x.

Each ATX motherboard has 7 expansion slots. The first one on your motherboard isn't your PCIE x16 but your second one is.

It's for SLI. Your CPU doesn't have enough lanes, so it'll run two cards at 8x/8x rather. The 2nd 16x slot will run at 16x if you only have the one card.

Ohhh ok. Yeah sorry I was mainly referring to the first PCIE slot as the first "long" slot. I forgot that the "small" slots are also PCIE.

So if this is the case, then why does the manual say to put a single GPU in the PCIEX16_1 for better performance?

No idea. It's not like today's GPU's are maxing out an 8x connection.
