Hey

I have an issue with my system audio. I don't know if Skype causes it but I notice it during Skype sessions.

What happens is my audio just cuts off for about a second or so, this meaning that I recive no audio into my headphones and the guys in Skype said they cant hear me during this time as well. Once the second or so is over I can hear the audio that I missed and this happens once every 20sec with variations.

Had this issue as well, you need to go into your BIOS and turn off all power saving and CPU Idle settings, otherwise your DPC is too high for your computer to seamlessly "stream" data to your Audio device

I would check using DPC Checker located here ---> http://www.thesycon.de/eng/latency_check.shtml

Also don't forget to update your Audio Drivers manually

@Palden @syn2112

Okay so DPC Checker showed me that the latency was constantly in the red and it peaked when the audio clipped and went back down to yellow-ish for awhile. I went into BIOS but haven't found any power saving settings per se.

In the bios I found something called Cool 'n 'Quiet and Core C6 Mode. Is it safe to disable these? And on a side note should I use the fast boot or ultra fast boot functionality.
