Upgrade from 750 ti?

Im upgrading to an intel i3 6100 cpu with an entirely new mobo aswell, but ive been wondering since ive had my GTX 750 ti for a while, what should I upgrade too? Some ideas I have that could match the i3 6100 is a gtx 1060, or even picking up and old gtx 970

The combos I recommend for everyone is:

 

I3 6100 + 1060

I5 6600K + 1070

I7 6700K + 1080

I don't completely agree with the 1080 one, but yes.

It's just combo, if you have the money for I7 prob u wouldn't go for a 1070, but for that point you could use i3 with 1070, however the performance would be minimal

One of my HTPCs has an i3-6100/750 Ti combo. It's an excellent pairing for what I ask it to do. If you're looking for something of a more modern 750 Ti with low power draw that you can plug into damn near anything and go, look at the GTX 1050 and GTX 1050 Ti. If you want to spend a little more and need a little better PSU but get better performance with it, the GTX 1060 or RX 480 make sense.

 

Something like the GTX 1070 is an option, but you'd be buying a GPU that's significantly overpowered for what your CPU can handle. I'd only go this route (or GTX 1080) if you're planning on upgrading your processor to an i5-6xxx in the near future as well.

Meh I mean I agree with your thing but I don't but I can't really say that cause it does make the most senae. I've just seen more people get i7 and 1070 than 1080 cause they didn't have budget.
