Is 6 enough?

So I want to build a new streaming PC and I am going crazy trying to find out if I need a 6 Core CPU i7 6800k or a 6900k 8 core CPU. I want to Be able to play any PC game at 1080 Maxed out settings. And stream on Twitch with OBS using FAST preset on OBS. Also going to have 2 Capture cards One a HDMI out of a Sony A7 and Other HDMI out from PS4. Also I thought you make also like to know The GPU I am looking at getting is the GTX EVGA SC. I don't really have a budget per say but the more it cost longer I have to save up. Thanks for help everyone. PS if you also think upgrading to 8 core is wroth it please say so Thanks

A 6800k is fine for streaming + gaming. No need to get a 6900k.

Please quote me in any answers to my posts, so that I can read them easily and don´t forget about them. Thanks!

I love spending my time with PC tinkering, networking and server-stuff.

If you're going with Nvidia, just use Shadowplay for the encoding and streaming. You don't need more than 6 cores for anything except high-demand, highly programmed, and parallelized workloads.

Hows this? Not sure about affordability, as you never specified a budget, but this will do everything you need it to do without any issue.

This isn't a big price different, only by like $200. it looks sick, you can move those RGB fans that come with the case, 2 on top and 1 on back. Then the radiator goes on the front.

The only reason I'd recommend a 6900k is for editing 4k video or some hardcore virtualization/simulation

Thanks but my work load is only 1080p

then take the sli off and lower the price, and change the board. Otherwise the rest should work like a charm. plus if you take away the sli it lowers the cost. Otherwise I would say this would be a good build.
