Integrated GPU vs DGPU for Photoshop

Top-Hat Meerkat

Do you recommend getting a laptop with a dedicated GPU for Photoshop such as the GT940MX 2GB? Or will I fine with Integrated Intel HD 520 graphics?

Integrated graphics will suffice for PS, however a discrete card will greatly enhance performance, as Photoshop does make some use of the GPU.

CPU and RAM are also critical factors in determining the specs for your laptop.

I would get a workstation with a very color accurate panel(think 4k Dreamcolor).

Photoshop isn't very demanding. GPU will barely matter. Unless you have some old i3 or less than 4GB of ram it'll run fine. I use it myself on a damn MacBook Air. Rendering long GIFs might be a issue if you have 4GB of ram though.
