so, i've been thinking a lot about the nvidia shield lately, is there a gaming device, portable that has a tegra x1 in it? and not absurdly downclocked?

preferrably like a JXD S7800B, or the original shield portable, or the wikipad

it is rocking a 5 inch 720p screen at 294ppi so it's not pushing a whole lot of pixels. That and the tegra x1 does well with power consumption. But you have to have your expectations right for the device. I use it as a emulator station,

I already have a shield portable. so i'm fine for now, but some games i can't expect to possibly run on it, like dolphin (gamecube emulator), or metal gear rising revengeance/borderlands 2

and the controller layout is a turnoff for me, since i'm so used to using the standard xbox/gamecube/dreamcast layout

I have no idea. I looked at the high price and then saw they were out of stock for NZ so never really looked into them. Google sucks at bringing their products here

well the x1 gets really fucking hot and requires a lot of power. Even the old Tegra4 required a fan in the Shield Portable and it can get loud and hot sometimes (I own one) \\

you could try the GPD Win, it's a full X86 on the go machine with a full qwerty keyboard, joysticks, numpad, etc

idk

i need to put that on my wishlist, upon further research it can run super mario sunshine through dolphin at 50-60 fps, which is a godsend, and it runs windows.. so i have my massive steam library to go with it... cut down by what it can run that is
