Reliability is the most important thing with a PSU. A cheaply made one could kill all of your components.

Your system will never use more than 350W under any circumstances so you most certainly do not need 850W for that. Your CX750M is fine, don't bother replacing it.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

The CX series is mediocre, but the CXM is good and doesn't really warrant a upgrade for a 770. If you really have your heart set on a new PSU, the HX850i is very nice, fully modular, platinum rated and can be found on cablemod.

im looking at the HX850i im slowly upgrade parts ie case, psu, cooler, storage, grpahics card then eventuall cpu, mobo, ram

750W is easily enough for 2 GTX 770's.

If you want a new PSU, the Corsair RMi/RMx and EVGA G2 and G3 are great choices.

What benefits would I get from going RMi v G2,

What's the difference between G2/G3?

RMi or RMx are better than the G2, not by much though. All RMi/RMx have 10 year warranty, everything apart from the G2/G3 550W has a 10 year warranty (550W only has a 7 year warranty)

The RMi has Corsair Link, so you can monitor stuff and configure your PSU to be a single rail PSU, it also has a better fan.

The RMx has a lesser fan and doesn't have corsair link and single 12V rail support.

The EVGA G3 is shorter than the G2, it is also newer and better, but it looks ugly as fuck, it has EVGA logos everywhere.

Either of  the 4 will do, they are all great PSUs.

Might get the RM850i,  I like the looks of the RMi/hxi units

What about efficiency ratings do you really need? You're powering a system, even with two 770s, that will never use more than 550W. Not exactly the end of the world to lose like 50 cents a year and save like $30 from buying a cheaper PSU.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

Again, you're not gonna see a tangible benefit to getting something more efficient.

An EVGA G2 would be plenty for you.

G2 vs RMi? There's not a ton of difference in performance but the RMi is multi-rail (and can switch to single-rail), the RMi is really geared towards being quiet while the G2, although still very quiet, isn't as quiet.

I'm really tired and I'd love to go into more detail but I really like both and both are super good unit. The RMi was a good choice.
