$2500 Gaming PC, Please help.

Go to solution Solved by Kiwiandapple,

I dont think that cpu cooler is available in Thailand, so i would be getting other cpu cooler. and yes i would be getting the bitfenix alchemy for a cleaner look. Thanks alot your a great help. :)

Allright, well. Maybe this one is? Cooler Master V8 GTS. It's design is based off an engine. Has red LEDs in it, pretty awesome cooler. If still not, then I suppose you can get the Noctua, but I highly suggest to get the CM sickleflows! And a WHITE bitfenix LED strip! ^^

Glad I could help.

Hello everybody, I've been planning to build this $2500 PC for a while now. I'm currently living in Thailand and i would be getting all the parts for my PC locally. $2500 is around 80000 THB. These are the vendors i would be buying from:

http://www.busitek.com

http://www.jedicool.com

The main purpose of this build is to play games (mainly fps like BF) in maximum setting.

Here is what i came up so far:

CPU: i7 4770k or i5 4670k

CPU cooling: Corsair H100i

Motherboard: Haven't decided yet.

GPU: R9 290X

Ram: Vengeance Pro 4Gb x 2

PSU: Seasonic 1000w

Case: Corsair Obsidian 750D

SSD: Samsung EVO 120GB

HDD: Seagate Barracuda 3TB

I also need a sound card that can plug my Astro A50 in (can't remember what the thing is called)

i would be doing some overclocking on this system. the reason I'm getting a 1000w psu is that i could install another GPU in the future without problem

Thank you for reading and I'm sorry for my bad English since it's not my first language.

If you get an ASUS ROG board you definitely won't need a soundcard so I suggest that to simplify things. Also I definitely think you can afford some more RAM.

I thought of this http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1Ul72 You didn't specify if you needed windows so I left it out. Also, get a Fiio E10 instead of an internal soundcard, it'll be over budget tho http://www.amazon.com/Fiio-E10-USB-Headphone-Amplifier/dp/B005VO7LG6

Hello and welcome to the forums!

Your english is perfectly fine!

A few questions before we can help you perfectly. Do you want to have a color scheme? The most common one is red and black. Aswell with sound card, I have A40's myself and is your question about the mixamp? You can plug the connections into any soundcard. But the mixamp is a "sound card" allready, so you need to use the sound card directly, and forget about the mixamp.

For gaming, the i5 is more then enough because the i7 gives no performance increase.
A 1000W PSU is way to much, even with 2 GPUs. A 800/850W is enough for 2 290x. They draw a decent amount off power. But at max load they hit about 290W.

NZXT Phantom windowed, Asus Z77 Sabertooth, Intel 2600K, Noctua NH-D14, EVGA 780 Classified, Crucial Ballistic Tactical, Crucial M4 128GB + Samsung 850 EVO, Corsair RM850, Creative X-Fi Fatal1ty Peripherals: Sennheiser HD598, FinalMouse Classic, SteelSeries Qck Heavy, Ducky Shine Zero (MX Brown), AOC G2460PF & Qnix QX2710

Build Log: Phantom - Antique Noctua

I'll be getting the the maximus vi formula, but i believe it doesnt have the SPDIF cable slot for my Astros A50 so i would still need a sound card to plug it in. any suggestion for a soundcard? :)

Asus Xanar Essence STX.

Here is my edit: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1UHSP

Red themed build!

Place 2 sickleflows at the front as intake, 1 at the rear as exhaust. It has a soundcard that will work with the A50. Has enough room to SLI. I went with the 780 because the price for them is insane now for the performance. Aswell useally buying a 16GB kit is cheaper then 2 times an 8gb kit. I don't understand what you need 6TB of storage for. So I went with "just 3TB" when it gets full, then buy another 3TB?

If you really want to get the Noctua then sure go get it, it's an outstanding cooler. But the color scheme doesn't fit to well. I would suggest to buy 2 more sickleflows then and put them on that beast. Performance wise, the sickleflows are very close to the noctua fans. Hell I saw those sickleflows beat the Noctua NF-F12 tempature wise when put on the H100i.

If you want it to look more clean, you can buy some cable extensions. I suggest to get the bitfenix alchemy ones since they are just very good quality.

Aswell to light it up even more. Buy a WHITE led. A red one will just make it to blurry and a white one will let all the red accents pop out.

Hope this helped.

The non reference 290x isn't coming out till 2014 as far as I know. If you're buying so much later, plan later. Parts and prices change frequently and you should be planning at most 2-3 days before you buy.
